The short version
neverloseawebsite stores your saved websites only on your own device. We do not collect, send, sell or share your data.
What the extension saves
When you tap Lock in Memory, the extension saves the page address, title, short page description, your note, your tags and your folder name. This is stored in your browser using Chrome's local storage. It never leaves your device and we cannot see it.
What we do not do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No analytics, tracking or advertising.
- No sending your data to any server.
- Tags are suggested on your device using simple keyword rules. No page content is sent to any AI service.
Why the extension needs permissions
- storage: to keep your saved websites and folders on your device.
- activeTab: to read the title and address of the page you are on, only when you click the icon.
- scripting: to read the page's short description, only when you click the icon, so tags can be suggested.
Deleting your data
You can delete any saved website inside the extension. Removing the extension from Chrome deletes all saved data.
